PRIMERGY blade servers are reliable and innovative platforms designed for the performance and connectivity challenges of today’s data centers. With an up to 40 CPU core capability in a single chassis unit, PRIMERGY blade servers deliver maximum redundancy and performance with minimal rack space, power consumption and cabling.

The PRIMERGY BX600 Blade Ecosystem offers maximum system density with fault tolerance, making it ideal for enterprise data centres and application service providers. The compact yet powerful dual and quad blades permit high flexibility in operating a wide range of different applications within the same infrastructure. Furthermore, diverse connectivity options to IP and storage area networks are easily made possible due to the integrated infrastructure components.

The PRIMERGY BX600 architecture virtualizes the server blades, which in turn can be assigned to pre-defined resource pools. Resulting in computing power provided on demand to the applications in all tiers. Not only is the BX600 Blade Ecosystem highly flexible, scalable and reliable, it is also easy to service.

Scaling option to build a 4-socket server out of two- four dual blades based on Opteron 8xx MP CPU, using AMDs “Direct Connect” technology with standard chipsets. Mono-Core and Dual-Core AMD Opteron processors and scalability from dual to quad or eight socket blade and up to 16-cores for all performance needs.
Redundant switch blades and / or Pass-Thru blades and two redundant management blades for highly flexible network integration and reliable management. Redundant and hot-plug blades ensure trouble-free operation and minimum server down times
The “Advanced-KVM” switch realizes remote (over IP) maintenance from a single point of control for all blades reducing external equipment costs. A set of powerful server management tools reduces administration and maintenance efforts.
Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces per dual server blade, 2x2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces per 4-socket server blade for efficient and stable communication paths. Optional extendable 2 channel GbE daughter card and additional PCI riser option. Less space and power consumption compared to conventional rack server farms reduce operation costs.
Optional two (dual server blade) or 2x2 (4-socket server blade) Fibre Channel interfaces, optional PCI slot module (instead of a hard disk) for LAN controller on dual processor server blades. Solutions for automated operating system deployment and load balancing adapt the server configurations to the current load profile, giving optimized response times.
Tried-and-tested, easy-to-use server management software (locally/remotely) for careless and convenient operation. All server blades may be mixed in one chassis, protecting investments and offering high growth rates.
One or two hot-plug hard disks per server blade in RAID 0 or 1 configuration for data security. Many solution templates for blades are available e.g. terminal services, virtualization, SAP, SAN-Boot …
