July 18, 2005 SLI-Consulting launches CELSIUS V810: the fastest workstation for complex applications

Featuring outstanding graphics and computing capabilities, expansion and low ambient noise level

 The upcoming SMPTE05 Exhibition and Conference trade fair (July 18-22 in Sydney) will be the stage for the launch of the new CELSIUS V810 from Fujitsu Siemens Computers. This powerful deskside workstation was designed primarily for professional graphics applications such as digital content creation (DCC) and visualization, but is also ideal for CADD/CAM. The AMD® 8151 chipset with the latest AMD Opteron® 252 processor and a max. 32 GB DDR-SDRAM provide the basis for the system’s extraordinary computing performance.
 
The CELSIUS V810 has an outstanding high performance, which increases the productivity of DCC power users. The most impressive feature is its graphics capabilities, thrust into a new dimension with 256 MB graphic memory thanks to the new OpenGL graphics subsystem-capable NVIDIA Quadro FX4000 High End 3D graphics accelerator.

Security features
Simulation, engineering and finance data also need to be protected at all times. This is where the multi-level security concept of the CELSIUS V810 enters the picture. It features a security panel, BIOS, boot and hard-disk passwords.
 
Diverse connection possibilities
The extraordinarily functional CELSIUS V810 comes with a comprehensive range of options to keep users connected regardless of location. A Gigabit LAN port sees to the network connection. Five USB 1.1 ports (3 x rear, 2 x front), two IEEE-1394 FireWire interface (1 x rear, 1 x front), front and rear audio connectors, two PS/2 and single parallel/serial ports. An integrated on-board 29320-R SCSI controller with a vast selection of 80 – 400 GB 7200 RPM SATA and 73 – 300 GB up to 15k RPM SCSI hdd allows us to address internal disk expansion of over 1 TB for demanding user. The ATAPI DVD±R/±RW DL (8.5 GB) is standard on the new workstation, as the 50 W power supply module.
 
Software certification
Thanks to our strong relationships with numerous independent software vendors (ISVs) and solution providers, the CELSIUS V810 is ISV-certified for all established DCC, CADD/CAM, visualization and finance applications. As a result, users can count on comprehensive software support from these partners.
