SLI-Consulting announces the release of the new high density 4 Gb Fibre Channel-SAS/SATA RAID array

SLI-Consulting Pty. Limited, a wholly Australian-owned data storage specialist has announced the release of the StorageNetwork SN-5402E a multi tier disk solution.

The F5402E offers the SMB market significant flexibility; the 2U 12 drive enclosure combines 4Gb Fibre Channel connectivity with Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA-II) disk drives, allowing the end-user a true tiered storage solution. Optimal system performance and data availability are attained by utilizing dual 4Gb FC controllers that provide direct point-to-point connectivity to the disk drives, minimizing data retrieval times and system latency. Enterprise class fault tolerance is assured by incorporating fully redundant and hot swappable key components including: controllers, power supplies, cooling modules and disk drives. Additionally, the embedded StorView^(TM) management suite, which ships with the SN-5402E RAID controller, provides an OS independent GUI, enabling automated configuration, error detection and remote notification, while simplifying storage management and maintenance.
