StorageNetwork products from SLI-Consulting complete the range of ASI Solutions storage offerings, present high-performance and cost-effective options for sales channel

September 10, 2004 – SLI-Consulting Pty Limited and ASI Solutions today announced the establishment of a strategic partnership to expand ASI’s data storage offerings in Australia. ASI Solutions will be incorporating the StorageNetwork SN-4200-SATA and SN-1600-FFX2E Fibre Channel (FC) RAID arrays to supplement its existing NAS storage offering. The partnership will extend the implementation of the StorageNetwork FC solutions to new organisations, including those with basic storage requirements and others with larger enterprise-wide data challenges. The StorageNetwork FC solutions are mid-range modular Open System arrays and provide high levels of performance, scalability and redundancy. Carrier-class reliability levels ensure that data is protected in even the most hostile environment.

The StorageNetwork SN-4200-SATA combines existing FC technology with price/performance-competitive SATA and it enables full SAN support. It is targeted at customers with large storage demands and is ideally suited for customers with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance and cost. The StorageNetwork SN-1600-FFX2 is a high performance, fully redundant RAID subsystem, scalable to over 33 Terabytes. With Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3 carrier-class certification, the solution performs in even the most hostile environments.

StorageNetwork products have already been implemented at two ASI Solutions customer sites. A key NSW education client recently implemented the StorageNetwork SN-1600-FFX2-E to process large real-time data streams for the organisation’s video and animation post-production requirements. The ASI Perth team has recently implemented the StorageNetwork SN-4200-SATA solution with a major customer to assist in the storage of data and protection of their mission-critical applications.
